What we need to migrate your site

Migrating your site to Internext is free, and the fastest way to make it painless is to send us the right details up front. You don't need to be technical — just gather what you can from the list below, and our Dubai-based team will do the rest. If you're missing something, message us anyway and we'll help you find it.

The migration checklist

Here's everything that helps us move your site cleanly. The first item is the most important — the rest fill in the gaps.

• Old host access — your current host's cPanel login (URL, username and password), or a full cPanel backup file, or FTP details plus your database name, database user and password.
• Domain registrar access — your registrar login, or simply a willingness to update the nameservers we send you (for example ns1.internextllc.com and ns2.internextllc.com).
• Email accounts — a list of every mailbox on the domain (for example [email protected], [email protected]) so we can recreate each one.
• Special apps or settings — any custom applications, SSL certificates, redirects or scheduled cron jobs we should carry over.

Option A — cPanel login or full backup

If your old host uses cPanel (most do), the simplest route is to give us the cPanel login, or download a full account backup from cPanel's Backup tool and send us the file. This captures your files, databases and email settings in one go — the cleanest possible migration.

Option B — FTP plus database credentials

If cPanel isn't available, we can still migrate using FTP to copy your files and your database credentials (database name, username, password and host) to export your data. This is common for VPS setups or custom hosting panels.

How we protect your credentials

We take the security of your logins seriously. Passwords you share are used only for your migration, handled by our team in Dubai, and are never stored in plain text files. Once the move is complete and tested, you can — and should — change every password. If you'd prefer, you can create a temporary cPanel or FTP user for us and delete it afterwards.

Can you migrate without any downtime?

Downtime is kept to a minimum. We copy and test your site on a temporary URL while your live site stays up, and only switch DNS once you approve. See how free migration works for the full process.

What if I only have my website files, no backup?

That's fine. Send us the files (via FTP or a ZIP) and your database export, and we'll rebuild the site on Internext. If you can't export the database, share the FTP and database logins and we'll handle the export ourselves.
